FINALLY! Good guys are uniting around the world.

Last week I reported on a new Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARCForum.com) that is beginning to connect leaders “for a better world where every citizen can prosper, contribute and flourish” by defending and promotong the Judeo-Christian principles that gave rise to western civilization. So far it began mainly from Europe, North America and Australia, but hopes to be global.

Another encouraging movement is called the Political Network for Values (PoliticalNetworkforValues.org). It is “a global platform of worldwide political representatives and leaders who actively promote and defend the values of family, life and freedom.” It’s previous leader was recently elected as President of Hungary.

It began before the pandemic and is continuing to connect many leaders from Euope and the Americas, but also hopes to be global. It needs to be more truly representative of all global regions and I hope to help. Many of its leaders are friends of mine already working together. This week I have the privilege to be part of its Transatlantic Summit at the UN in New York.

Although the UN has strayed far from its foundational principles by those who reinterpret its purpose to suit their secular radical agendas, and is clearly unable to prevent wars such as in Ukraine ot Israel or many places today, yet its original documents often reflected the historic Biblical ideas of man and government.

To that end the gathering this week at the UN isssued the following declaration in support of some of those principles. See their statement below:

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UDHR the Political Network for Values invites political representatives and civil society leaders to sign the following declaration:
We, ministers and high representatives of Governments, political, and civic leaders gathered at the United Nations headquarters on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
RECOGNIZING that international cooperation in the pursuit of peace, development, and human rights and full respect of the sovereign equality of states is codified in the founding principies of the U.N. Charter,
ALARMED by efforts to undermine and distort the principies and rights enshrined in the UDHR and other binding international instruments,
AFFIRMING that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is the foundation for all universally recognized international human rights,
PARTICULARLY REAFFIRM THAT
Recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice, and peace in the world (UDHR Preamble).
Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person (UDHR 3).
The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State (UDHR 16), and motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance (UDHR 25).
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion, either alone or in community with others and in public or private (UDHR 18), and everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, including freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers (UDHR 19).
Everyone has the right to education, and parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be provided to their children (UDHR 26).
AND THEREFORE COMMIT OURSELVES AND CALL UPON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
To establish an environment conducive to family formation and stability for men and women to fully realize their fundamental human right to marry and found a family (UDHR 16, 23, 25).
To protect children, both before and after birth (UDHR 3, Cf. CRC Preamble).
To respect the liberty of parents and legal guardians to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in conformity with their own convictions (UDHR 26, Cf. ICCPR 18, Cf. ICESCR 13).
To full respect the various religious and ethical values, cultural backgrounds, and philosophical convictions of the peoples of the world, and the sovereignty of states in matters that are within their domestic jurisdiction (Cf. UN Charter Article 11, UDHR 18, 19, Cf. ICPD 1.11).
To foster a Global Alliance for the universally agreed human rights and fundamental freedoms enshrined in the UDHR.

God is awakening Christians of all faith streams to unite in more and more global networks for strategic purposes. The reason is that they have seen the global elites push their agendas upon nations around the world even where the majority of the people in those nations do not support such policies. We are starting to become “wise as serpents” but remaining “harmless as doves.” In a flat world, what happens in one nation affects many others.

The movement that I help lead, the Global Transformation Network, is part of the strategic response around the world today. We are working on a 2040 Agenda based on a truly Biblical worldview. Please continue to pray for these movements to be wise and humble so as to work together effectively despite pressures and egos that always can sink such efforts.
